“To improve the quality of life for the residents of West Richland, Washington, by providing a source of funds for the West Richland Police Department to address critical material or service needs identified through its interactions with the community.

Van Giesen SignWhy We Started

In their interactions with citizens in West Richland, police officers become aware of critical material or service needs. Responding to those needs typically meant that officers provided assistance with their own money.

How We Started

During the summer of 2017, several West Richland residents met with the West Richland Police Department Chief of Police to discuss the formation of an independent, non-profit organization to provide the West Richland Police Department with on-going financial resources to assist those individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford critical materials and services.

Where We Are Today

WRCCF is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity that depends upon support from area citizens and businesses to be able to provide support through the West Richland Police Department. Our mission includes possible funding of projects that benefit the residents of West Richland as a whole.

Our next Board of Directors meeting will be Thursday, April 2nd (cancelled due to COVID-19).
